Special solutions for aluminum alloy doors, windows, and curtain walls
Innovative Solutions for Unique Challenges
Some projects and applications demand more than standard solutions—they require creativity, precision, and specialized expertise. At Kronos, we embrace these challenges with a problem-solving mindset, delivering high-performance products designed to meet your exact needs. Whether it’s addressing thermal expansion, optimizing insulation, or developing customized components for complex systems, we work closely with you to understand the problem and create solutions that enhance efficiency, performance, and durability.
Thermal Insulation Strips with Coating Protection Film
These insulation strips are designed for coating-after-assembling processes. Because polyamide differs from aluminum in electrical conductivity and coating adhesion, their surface finishes may not match after coating.
A semi-transparent polyester film with a silicone adhesive is applied to protect the visible areas of the insulation strip during powder coating. After coating, the film is removed, leaving the strip surface clean, uncoated, and free of residue or contamination.

Anti-bi-metal Solutions
Sun exposure can cause aluminum profiles to heat up and expand—especially in darker colors. In thermal break systems, a temperature difference often exists between the exterior and interior aluminum profiles. While this reflects good thermal performance, it can also create problems in hot climates. The exterior profile may expand under sunlight while the interior profile remains stable or even contracts due to air conditioning. This uneven movement can cause the insulation strip to bend, leading to sash misalignment and poor operability. In severe cases—particularly with sliding windows—the sash may become completely stuck.
To address this issue, Kronos developed an innovative Anti-bi-metal Strip, engineered to relieve the stress generated between expanding and contracting aluminum profiles. This structure prevents thermal bending of the insulated profile, ensuring smooth sash operation and long-term system stability.

Hardware Operating Rods
In aluminum door and window systems, traditional hardware operating rods are often made of aluminum alloy. While strong and corrosion-resistant, they can be noisy and less comfortable to operate.
Kronos’s high-performance nylon operating rods are a direct replacement, offering excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and weather resistance. Their low thermal conductivity improves insulation at hardware points, while self-lubricating properties ensure smooth, quiet operation and reduced wear. Even under temperature and humidity changes, these rods maintain precise dimensions, ensuring long-term system stability.
